Our legal structure is organized into specific binding documents:

3. Software Licensing Terms
Phide (and future Koda Softwares) is provided under a developer-first perpetual license. It is 100% free for personal, commercial, enterprise, and educational development. There are no mandatory subscriptions, seat limits, or feature paywalls for core IDE capabilities.
4. Code Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
We recognize that your software code is proprietary and confidential. Koda Softwares operates on a strict local-first paradigm:
- Your source files, AST trees, Git histories, and notebook cells never leave your machine.
- We do not train, fine-tune, or calibrate public machine learning models on your source code.
- You retain 100% exclusive intellectual property ownership of everything you create.
5. Export Controls & Trade Compliance
Koda Softwares is subject to standard international export administration regulations. You agree not to download, export, re-export, or transfer the software to prohibited jurisdictions or sanctioned parties in violation of applicable trade laws.
6. Trademark & Brand Guidelines
The Koda name, Koda banner, Phide trademark, and product logos are intellectual property of Koda. You may use our logo in articles, reviews, or tutorials describing Phide, provided you do not imply official partnership, endorsement, or sponsorship without prior written approval.
7. Government & Law Enforcement Requests
Because Phide is built on a local-first architecture, Koda does not possess, store, or have technical access to user source code, Git commits, local project graphs, or files. We cannot provide what we do not have. Any valid legal subpoena is evaluated rigorously under applicable due process of law.
